A richness we’d have never known…

It’s time we should be getting on to bed, but I don’t think I can end the day without posting something.  Our time together at Rudy’s celebration reminded us that with the heartaches of this journey come a richness we wouldn’t have experienced otherwise.  We have felt such concern and support from so many over the last eight months, so it was so moving to have so many precious people in the same room.  Even more moving to see people make the drive from places as far away from LA, San Diego, Santa Cruz and Sacramento.  Thanks to all who came, to those who participated in the service and put on the reception.  More to come, but tonight our hearts are so full.  Thanks everyone!

The drive was so worth it……we “would travel weary miles to see the sunshine of your smile!”….and how amazing was that! We did see Rudy’s little smile! What a change in our boy in just a few weeks since he was in Pine Valley for the wedding!

    Love you so much!

  5. Pastor Bob Says:

An irony of Kingdom living is that God often becomes most visible to us during times of suffering and trial. That visibility comes through the tangible love of the Body of Christ and the shared carrying of each others burdens. It is a sign of God’s grace that we can simultaneously experience real fear, anxiety, and sorrow in our “flesh” while at the same time experience peace, hope and joy in our Spirit. This contradiction is the undeniable evidence of the “fingerprints of God” during the most difficult times, something that we are grateful that you are experiencing. Last night was a milestone moment – a time as a faith community to stop and acknowledge God’s love and presence in the midst of challenge and to give Him thanks and praise. What a sweet time it was!
